We are a publication dedicated to the gray areas of the human experience. We believe that life is rarely just one thing. It is rarely pure sugar, and it is rarely pure poison. It is usually a complex mix of both.
We are looking for stories that capture that specific flavor.
Maybe it was the day you got your dream job but realized you would have to leave your hometown to take it. Maybe it was the funeral where, amidst the tears, someone told a joke that made the whole room laugh. Maybe it was a moment of perfect silence in a chaotic city.
We don’t want fairytales. We don’t want misery porn. We want the truth.
